Disability Blog Carnival #66 is up NOW!

[visual description: blog carnival logo featuring an old photo of a hospital, superimposed with the words "Disability Blog Carnival: Can't shut us up now"]

Terri at Barriers, Bridges, and Books gives us a collection of links around the theme of "Story"--go have a page through some stories and thoughts on telling stories about disability.

The June carnival host is Dave Hingsburger of "Rolling around in my Head," and he has an original plan for his edition... I'll let him explain it, but do stay tuned, it's an interesting idea!

And after that... well, what? I don't have any hosts lined up beyond Dave H. Recent hosts have expressed disappointment with getting fewer submissions than they hoped for. Blogging is probably down across the internet, and there are many other ways to share links to interesting blogging these days. The blog FWD does a daily digest of recommended reading, for example. Wheelie Catholic and others are using Twitter to share links to the things that grab them. Maybe the carnival format has run its course? When I asked this question last summer, folks said they wanted the carnival to continue, so it did. How about now? And if you want it to continue, which month will you host? ;)

PLEASE, let the DBC continue!!! I can't host July considering I'm not here for most of the month of July, but I will definitely host August!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rolling Around in My Head will host the June Carnival - June is 'pride month' wherein people celebrate LGBT pride - So I thought we'd have a pride carnival, I want people to submit the blog (or even two) that they wrote that they are most proud of. Not the one that got the most comments, but the one that you felt said what you wanted to say, how you wanted to say it and you are proud of it.

I'd like to have the submissions by the 20th of June and it will run on June 27th, Pride Day.

submit either here or send me an email at daveandjoe@hotmail.com

I've not been a regular participant in the carnival, but I'd sure love if it continued. I'm willing to host July or anothe rmonth if someone already picked July.

I'd be happy to host in July or August. September is not fantastic for me, but I can do that too :) I did the Carnival of Feminists last year and enjoyed it a lot!

I could host July or August, but after that, I'm back in school and I just won't have the wherewithal to host.

Oh, I notice others can't do September and want to host July and August. I'd love to host September.

Do continue the blog carnival! I'm non-existent as a contributor, but I'm a regular reader. I'd be happy to host the carnival at Through Myself and Back Again anytime. I see there are volunteers up to September. I'm happy to host October!

I'd be happy to host sometime. Autumn works for me - September or October or whenever you need a host :-)

I always intend to submit to the carnivals, but find it difficult to keep track of when they are, especially together with all the other carnivals that are on that I'm interested in.

Hi Penny, the next blog carnival will be up on the 27th of June. Please send me a link to the post you are most proud of, I'm consumed with curiosity.

I have been doing a "links roundup" post every few weeks on PhillyACCESS. I don't want to post spam, so you can see the blog via my profile. I don't seek submissions; I just post interesting links to stuff I've come across but don't necessarily fit the format I'm attempting to establish.
