If you're in Southern California (and I see from our Frappr map that I'm not alone hereabouts), don't miss the February 25 Huntington Library Women's Studies Seminar, on the subject of "Women, Disability, and the Arts". I'll be there, moderating the program. The three scheduled speakers are Victoria Ann Lewis, Helen Deutsch, and Catherine Cole.
But if you're in the New York area (see, we're serious about the "coast-to-coast" description of this blog), you should certainly try to attend the next meeting of Columbia's University Seminar on Disability Studies, on March 6, when Adrienne Asch speaks on the topic "Disability and Bioethics: Moving Beyond Current Controversies."
